Too Saying Goodbye

I see your shadow in the doorway,
Hear your voice in the midnight rain.
Every step feels a little colder,
Since you walked away.

The echo of your laughter lingers,
Like a song I can’t erase.
I trace your name with trembling fingers,
On the window’s frosted pane.

I’m never gonna get used to, sayin’ goodbye,
Every time you leave, a part of me dies.
I reach for your touch, but you fade like the sky,
I’m never gonna get used to, sayin’ goodbye.

The clock keeps moving, but I stand still,
Chasing memories I can’t fill.
All the roads lead back to you,
But you’re gone, what can I do?

Maybe time will ease the sorrow,
Maybe fate will bring you home.
But tonight my heart is hollow,
And I can’t face this night alone.

I’m never gonna get used to, sayin’ goodbye,
Every time you leave, a part of me dies.
I reach for your touch, but you fade like the sky,
I’m never gonna get used to, sayin’ goodbye.

I whisper your name in the quiet,
Hoping somehow you’ll hear.
But love can’t stop the silence,
And goodbye is still right here…
